MUST HAVE SKILLS (Most Important):

•  Overall Experience in Core Java, Advanced Java, Java Web technologies, Automation
  framework and DevOps.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and using test-driven frameworks
• Experience in Micro services technologies , java frameworks,  Web technologies such as JavaScript, React JS, Redux,
• Experience with implementing and testing GKE Security Policy
• Experience in DevOps Framework version control tools such as GIT & GitHub for source control
• Experience in Python programming, scripting and basic C++ programming.
• Experience designing GKE architecture
• Experience in release management, AGILE workflow and project management.
• Experience with GKE automation to stand-up clusters
• Strong communication and written skills
• Experience creating technical architecture documentation
• Understanding of GCP Identity Management (Service Principals, Managed Identity, Service Roles)
• Understanding of GKE PSP/OPA Policy Management

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code
• Experience designing and implementing AKE, GKE architecture through automation
• Strong development/programming skills
• Experience with Agile and DevOps concepts
• Experience with migrating applications to AWS,  GKE
• Experience with orchestrating GCP Virtual Machine deployments in an enterprise setting
• Experience with Ansible or Terraform

JOB DUTIES:

You will be working to help design and build GKE clusters for  IT applications to migrate to or build . You will combine the existing cloud design, policies, and practices in place today at Verizon for other clouds and apply them to the GCP/GKE technology stack. This includes the below:

• Enhance and contribute to new GKE architecture
• Develop tooling and self-service capabilities
• Integrate automation workflows into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Ansible, and Gitlab)
• Collaborate with developers and infrastructure teams to enhance the developer experience
• Migrate or build the initial pioneer workloads into GKE

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:

B.S. or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related technical degree
